Only You is a romance movie starring Robert Downey Jr and Marisa Tomei, released in 1994 this fun and quirky romance delighted audiences. While many critics placed it as a dry, fluff comedy with an unlikable lead in Marisa Tomei, audiences saw it as the funny, fairy tale romance that it was.
Only You tells the story of a young woman named Faith who believes in destiny. As a young girl she gets the name of Damon Bradley from a Ouija board and a fortune teller as a soul mate. But just when she is about to get married, a man calls named Damon Bradley to announce that he cannot come to the wedding because he is in Italy. What happens next is a cross country chase through Italy to find the elusive Damon Bradly and discover is he truly is the one that Faith is destined to be with.
With Robert Downey Jr. playing the adorable love lorn lead it is a far cry from the more serious and dignified roles that he is often in today. The movie is a cheesy but sweet romance that is definition of what makes "chick flicks" great.
