Born in 1984, this French actor has always had an interest in the movies, even majoring in cinema. But creating films did not seem to be in the cards as while in school he got into acting. He took his first role in the TV film Une femme en blanc.
After school Gaspard continued to take television roles and a role in the short film Alias. But it was his minor role in Le pacte de loups in 2001, where he was discovered by director Michael Blanc. Blanc gave him a role in Embrassez qui vous voudrez for which Gaspard earned a Cesar nomination as Best Young Male. He did not win the award then, but the following year he played Jean Delgas in Les égarés and his performance in the role took him from nomination to win.
But the role that through him into French film stardom was Un long dimanche de fiançailles(A Very Long Engagement). He was given the starring role of Manech opposite Audrey Tatou. The film gained international recognition and was released in theaters all over the world. After that Gaspard took a number of film roles including ones in Le dernier jour and Paris, je t’aime.
