Jeffrey Tambor

Jeffrey Tambor was born in 1944 in California.

Tambor got his acting start on the stage and in 1976 made a debut on Broadway in Sly Fox. He continues to perform on the stage earning a role in Glengarry Glen Ross in 2005.

His early career was also filled with small television roles on shows such as Taxi, M*A*S*H*, and Three's Company. From 1987-88 he had a recurring role in the series Max Headroom as Murray.

He then scored a major break as Hank Kingsley, the sidekick to Larry Sanders on The Larry Sanders Show. He received three Emmy nominations for the role but did not win.

In 2003 he got a role in Arrested Development which is what he is currently most known for. Jeffrey plays George Bluth Sr. and Oscar Bluth (twin brothers). He has received two Emmy nominations for this role as well, both of which he did not win.

After the cancellation of Arrested Development, Jeffrey has become involved in a number of different projects including The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Twenty Good Years, The Radio Adventure of Dr. Floyd and Welcome to the Captain.

His most popular recent roles have been the voice of Carl Murphy in Monsters V. Aliens and Sid Garner in The Hangover.
