Ken Jeong was born in 1969 in Michigan. He graduated from High School at the age of 16 and his grades and extracurriculars earned him the title of Greensboro Youth of the Year.
He completed his undergraduate at Duke University and got his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his residency at New Orleans while at the same time trying to develop his comedy.
His big break in comedy came when he won the Big Easy Laff-Off . The judges encouraged him to move to L.A. where he began working at the Improv and Laugh Factory comedy clubs. Try explaining that one to your parents, not only did you become a poor comedian but you did so after paying for medical school.
But once he arrived in L.A. his work in improv and theater began to pay off as he earned appearances in The Office, Entourage, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Recently he has broken into film and had supporting roles in a number of movies including Knocked Up, All About Steve, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, Role Models and The Hangover.
Ken lives with his wife, who is a doctor and their twin daughters.
