Lost is the breakout hit from ABC that has received massive amounts of critical and popular acclaim. The series focuses on the lives of a number of passengers on a plane which crashes on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. The characters try to adjust to their new life on the island but quickly discover that this is no ordinary island.
The series premiered on September 22, 2004 and quickly became one of the most popular shows in television. With a brilliant script, amazing actors, and completely original plot twists, the series always keep people guessing and coming back for more. In it's first season the series won an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. Each year the show has continued to be nominated for and win a variety of Emmy awards.
The show features a large ensemble cast of incredibly talented actors who continue to bring drama and magic to the screen. The best part of the show is not the fantastic events and situations that the main characters find themselves in, but the fact that the show weaves in their past lives. Throughout the series we learn nearly everything about these characters which creates a closeness to them that transcends the incredible events that occur on the island.
