This is the 38th post in our Musician of the Day series.

Born in the small town of Murray, Kentucky and she began singing at a young age because her father was Church of Christ songleader. She learned to sing A Cappella and fell in love with the sound of a voice. She loved singing a cappella so much that she toured and performed with a number of a cappella groups while in college.

When she graduated she was invited to sing with the internally acclaimed Christian group Acappella on a special project. She ended up working on not just one but a number of recordings with the group. Unsure of what the future and Nashville held for her she left and held a number of odd jobs including working on the census, being a nanny, and a bridal consultant. These crazy experiences lent her material for her own songs.

She returned to Nashville and became a very in demand demo singer, and has song songs that were later cut by LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans and more. Putting forth so much effort on songs for other people have made her own album feel a long time coming, But finally her highly praised voice has its own showcase as Kaci’s first EP, Songwriter Sessions, is set to release this year.
