This is the 37th post in our Musician of the Day series.
Born in 1973 in Massachusets, this talented singer-songwriter has perfected a style that blends together rock and folk music. Matt attended Pitzer College where he met his longtime friend and collaborator Mark Weinberg.
Over the years his accompaniment has changed many times along with the style of his performance. His impressive skills on guitar as well as his mixture of comedy and music, always entertained his audiences. His popular performances allowed him to put our four independent albums: Please, Ernst, Not Colored Too Perfect, and Still Waiting for Spring.
In 2003, he was signed to Universal Records and released his debut album Beneath These Fireworks. Four years later, he released another album Some Mad Hope. His music has garnered much acclaim and even been featured on a number of different television shows including Dawson’s Creek and Smallville.
Matt continues to tour and wow audiences with his wit, stories and amazing guitar ability, he is even known for his ability to play 12 string guitar.
