Lovedrug is an indie rock band that was formed in 2002. It is led by Michael Shepard on vocals, guitar and piano. The band has gone through a number of member changes but the current members are Jeremy Michael Gifford on guitar, synthesizer and piano; Thomas Bragg on bass; and James Childress on drums and percussion.
Soon after forming the band released their first EP, Everything Starts which had five songs. In the summer of 2003 they released their second EP. These EPs gained the interest of a number of labels and eventually Lovedrug made the decision to sign with The Militia Group.
In 2004, they released their first full length studio album Pretend You're Alive. The album was relatively successful and the group went on tour with Copeland and Juliana Theory in order to support it.
Their second album, Everything Starts Where it Ends was released in 2007 and charted on the Billboard 200 at #162.
Their third and most recent album was released in 2008 and is entitled The Sucker Punch Show.
The band recently toured Germany and played alongside bands Nine Inch Nails, Silversun Pickups and others.
