Ashley Greene was born in 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida.
As a teen Ashley wanted to become a model but was told that she was not tall enough (Ashley is 5'5'') to become a runway model and should instead put her efforts toward commercials. She took the advice and began taking acting classes and fell in love with it. She loved it so much in fact that she worked to graduate high school early and moved to L.A. at the age of 17.
Her first big acting roles came in 2005 when she appeared in an episode of Punk'd and an episode of MadTV. In 2006 she got recurring roles in Crossing Jordan and Desire.
2008 brought her big break when she was cast as Alice Cullen in Twilight. The movie brought her to stardom and secured her place in the rest of the Twilight series.
She will once again be Alice Cullen in New Moon which is set to release November 20th, 2009 and in Eclipse which releases in 2010.
She also has another movie coming out later this year entitled Warrior in which she reunites with Twilight costar Kellan Lutz.
