Aziz Ansari

Aziz Ansari was born in 1983 in South Carolina. He started stand up comedy while attending New York University for a degree in Marketing. Once he graduated he continued to focus on his comedy which earned him a spot on Rolling Stones' Annual Hot List as their choice for the Hot Standup. Then in 2006 he won the Jury Award for Best Standup at HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. He continues to tour for his comedy and he has even gone on tour with Flight of the Concords and Comedians of Comedy.

In 2007 Aziz Ansari and his sketch troop starred in a sketch comedy called the Human Giant on MTV. The show aired for two seasons and was offered a third but the sketch troop could not sign on to another season because of other commitments.

With his successful career as a standup comic Aziz Ansari has been slowly making his way into film with roles in Observe and Report, and I Love You, Man. He even played a recurring role as an intern in season 8 of Scrubs.

His most recent project was a role in the 2009 film Funny People which starred Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen.
