Chris Pine was born in 1980 in California. He attended and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002 and then went on to study at the American Conservatory Theater.
His first real acting role came in 2003 with a role in ER, that same year he also made small appearances in The Guardian and CSI: Miami. The next year he appeared in his first of many short films entitled Why Germany as well as playing a potential love interest for Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries 2.
In 2006 he landed another big screen role, starring in Just my Luck opposite Lindsay Lohan. He continued making waves in small independent films and even onstage in the play "Fat Pig."
In 2007 he actually turned down a role in the movie White Jazz. His reason? He chose instead to play the lead in the blockbuster movie Star Trek.
His upcoming work includes a starring role in the film Unstoppable which is currently in production. He is also in talks to play a role in The Art of Making Money and playing Jack Hunt in yet another movie production of a Tom Clancy novel.
