Jackson Rathborne was born in 1984 in Singapore.
His acting career began with local theater in Midland, Texas with a youth acting program, which did musical theater. For his junior and senior year of high school he attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, where his focus was on acting.
After graduating, he left for L.A. in order to try his hand at acting for the big screen.
It did not take long for Jackson to be picked up by Disney and he began doing Disney 411 where he would interview Disney stars. During this time he also had guest appearances on The O.C. and Close to Home. He also had a leading role in the ABC series Beautiful People in 2005-2006.
He had roles in small time movies such as Molding Clay, Pray for Morning, and Travis and Henry.
His big break came in 2008 when he was cast in the role of Jasper Hale in the movie Twilight. He will be reprising that role in the upcoming sequels New Moon and Eclipse.
In 2009, he had a role in Criminal Minds, in which he was a serial killer with a multiple personality disorder, and played Jeremy in S. Darko.
In 2010, he is slated to play Sokka in The Last Airbender, a movie based upon the successful animated series.
Jackson is also slated to play Varg Vikernes in the documentary movie based on the book Lords of Chaos.
In addition to his acting, Jackson is also in a band 100 Monkeys with his two friends from high school and the group hopes to release their first two albums later in 2009. With all of his projects its a wonder that he has any free time!
