Adrian Sutil was born in 1983 in Germany. He began karting when he was just 14 years old and then in 2002 he moved up to Swiss Formula Ford 1800.
He then went to the Formula BMC ADAC Championship in 2003. Though he never won a race he still earned sixth pace in the series allowing him to move up to Formula 3 EuroSeries the following season. In 2005 he joined the A1 Germany Team in the A1 Grand Prix he raced in all three events with his best finish being 12th place.
In 2006 he went to Japan in order to race in the All-Japan Formula Three Championship which he ended up winning. 2006 was all the year that he finally entered Formula One. He originally joined the MF1 team but it ended up being bought out by Spyker Cars who signed him to a multi-year contract to Spyker MF1 Team in 2007.
In 2007, Adrian thoroughly impressed everyone as he outperformed and outraced many drivers with more experience and better equipment. In 2008, Adrian remained with his current team which had now morphed into Force India. He would also stay with them for the 2009 season as well. 2009 is his best season yet as he ranked in 16th place which is higher than he has ever finished.
