Tawny Kitaen

While she may not be the first pop culture icon that made a name for themselves through their drug addiction, Tawny Kitaen may have done so with the most style. Born in 1961, in San Diego, California this one shot hottie is most remembered for appearing in the Whitesnake video “Here I Go” again, a role which earned her “sex kitten” status. When she broke up with her Whitesnake husband David Coverdale, she took on a few acting gigs, such as the co-host of America’s Funniest People.

She would earn fame once again with her second husband and their spectacular break up with a high heeled shoe. This coupled with her suspected drug use always out publicized her work in movies and television including her intriguing role of Nightbird on The New WKRP in Cincinnati. She disappeared from the public eye for a few years after her divorce to undergo drug treatment.

Returning in 2006 she made the brilliant decision to make a role on The Surreal Life as her comeback. By being angry, erratic and obviously still under the influence of drugs she quickly alienated her audience. Any respect she did have disappeared when she verbally attacked Florence Henderson. Attacking America’s most beloved TV mom is never a good idea, especially when you’re trying to prove you’re sober.

Despite attempts to show the public she was clean, she was picked up in November of 2006, for possession of cocaine. Her most recent project was an appearance on Celebrity Rehab.
