Erica was born in 1978 in Canada. Erica always wanted to be an actress and once she graduated high school, she moved to British Columbia to pursue that goal. Like a true rags to riches story, she gradually rose through the ranks, starting first as background, moving to commercials, then to guest starring roles and beyond.
Her first major roles started in 2004. She had a guest starring roles on The Chris Isaak Show, Tru Calling, Andromeda and Stargate SG-1. It was after these roles that she got her first real break into television by being cast as Lois Lane in Smallville. From 2004- 2005 she was a guest star as Lois Lane for the fourth season, but after that she joined the regular cast for the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth season.
In 2006, she starred in The Butterfly Effect 2 and is rumored to have a number of roles coming out in 2009, including the role of Maid Marion in the Sci-Fi original movie Robin Hood: Beyond Sherwood. If you’re wondering why Sci-Fi is making a movie about Robin Hood, well it’s because the script features Robin Hood battling a monster, which is something only Sci-Fi could dream up.
She is also hard at work filming Ecstasy, which is a film based on the novels of Irvine Welsh. Erica is set to play the part of Heather in the film.
