This Hollywood hunk has made his career on the small screen and continues to make his presence known in the place where he got his start. Born in 1958 in Minnesota and it is not at all surprising that he started his career as a European model. He got into acting by taking a few commercials including one for Budweiser, BMW and Jim Beam.
His first big break came when he got called to an audition for the legendary hero – no not Hercules but Superman. Unfortunately he lost the part to Dean Cain but was soon offered the part of Hercules in Hercules, the Legendary Journeys. The show was an instant hit and even surpassed Baywatch as the most watched show in the world. Which begs the question if Sorbo is hotter than Hasslehoff.
Sorbo continues to make appearances in a number of television shows and made for TV movies, including the starring role of Captain Dylan Hunt in Andromeda. Because of his prolific success on television Media Magazine named him televisions third most bankable star, behind Regis and Oprah.
Today most of his time is spent working with two non-profit organizations A World Fit for Kids and The AfterSchool Alliance. Though he has a number of movie and television debuts set to come out in 2009 and 2010 including What If…, Puzzle Vision and Flesh Wounds.
