Born in 1974 in Southern California, Marley Shelton has an unparalleled “girl next door” beauty. Born to a former aspiring actress and an entertainment director it was not long before she turned her sights on acting. Her first film role came in 1991 with a supporting role in Grand Canyon. After that roll she took a few television rolls, but really made her debut on the big screen with a role of the “lust-inducing” young lifeguard in The Sandlot.
After The Sandlot she took on some television roles including a few appearances on Hercules and Fantasy Island. But it was in Pleasantville that she got he really big break. Cast as Margaret she was in one of the films most visually remembered scenes as one of the first teens to become colorful. Her representation in that scene caused her to be placed on the theatrical poster. This role led her to work with other big name actors as one of the popular girls in Never Been Kissed, and to her own starring role in Sugar & Spice.
Following those big roles she took on a few indie films that never really caught on, until she got a relatively small role in Sin City. This led to major roles in American Dreamz, Don’t Come Knocking, The Last Kiss and Planet Terror. Her most recent movie project: A Perfect Getaway just opened in theaters, but she also hold a starring role in the television series Eleventh Hour.
