This is a post in our Musician of the Day category.

This indie rocker was born in 1988 in Mississippi. She was thirteen when her parents moved her to Tennessee and it was there that she met Josh and Zac Farro in school. The boys encouraged her love of music and she began taking vocal lessons with Brett Manning. She was still in high school when she tried out for the funk bank The Factory, and it was then that she met Jeremy Davis. The Factory eventually broke up and Jeremy and Hayley began writing music together.

Then in 2004, Jeremy and Hayley along with the Farro brothers and Jason Bynum (who was later replaced by Hunter Lamb), formed the band in 2004, when Hayley was only 15. In 2005, they were signed with the label Fueled by Ramen. Hayley is always recognized as the lead singer of Paramore by her trademark bright red hair.

Outside of Paramore she has been a quest singer on a number of different singles for a variety of bands including New Found Glory, Say Anything, and Death in the Park. She also had a cameo appearance in Guitar Hero: World Tour.

It seems there is very little that can keep Hayley from success, who at the young age of twenty already has two albums to her name, and the respect of many of music’s biggest acts.
