Today is a big day for FanSiter: we finally have a logo and our first exclusive interview!
I really liked the color scheme of this WordPress template, e.g. the (forest?) green, black, and white at the top where the pages are listed. Initially I asked Burning Moth, but that didn't work out for personal reasons. Then at the suggestion of a friend, I created a contest on 99designs. It did not start well, because I got absolutely no submissions for nearly five days which became frustrating and their site gives no help on how to cancel. Yesterday a flood came in and I picked the one you see now. It quickly took my fancy by not reading too much into my desire to incorporate a Chinese fan ... and because of the nifty watermark (see it now?).
And then there is the first of our exclusives in the form of an interview with Brianna Lea Pruett which I'm very excited about. Her playful use of English and sort of "chaos-is-okay" philosophy is interesting to read and should get people interested in her work. The interview was conducted via email by our writer Stephanie who did a great job of facilitating the entire process. I don't have to hint that there will be more, right? After all, there's now page dedicated to keeping track of these!
