Like Agatha Christie, she wrote mystery novels in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, but unlike Agatha Christie, she's not well known! Her plots are intricate and involved, like Christie's, but her characters are far more developed, and they evolve as the series goes on (in a way that Poirot and Marple just don't).
