Deborah Ann Woll

Deborah Ann Woll as Jessica in True Blood

This is the 120th post in our Celebrity of the Day series.

Deborah Ann Woll was born in 1985 in New York. She attended the University of Southern California before moving to L.A.

She got her first television role in 2007 in an episode of Life.

In 2008 she got even more guest roles in episodes of ER, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, My Name is Earl and The Mentalist.

She got her big break that same year when she was cast in the role of Jessica Hamby in True Blood. In order to prepare for the role as Bill Compton's vampire offspring she said she watched a lot of animal attack footage.

Deborah Ann Woll suffers from Celiac disease which means her body cannot tolerate certain foods. She is also an advocate for people suffering from choroideremia, which slowly robs a person of their sight. She learned about the disease because her boyfriend and his family have it.

She has three new roles coming up in 2010 in Mother's Day, Little Murder and Highland Park.
