This is the 113th post in our Celebrity of the Day series.
Chris Gore was born in 1965 in Michigan. He first started making films in junior high when he took a ten week movie making class. He worked with three other students to create an 8 minute film.
Since then Chris has been fascinated by movies and independent films in particular. To that end he founded Film Threat in 1985, and was the main writer. Film Threat started out as a fanzine that was dedicated to shining the spotlight on independent films, which at the time was still an emerging genre.
From 1993-1995 he was also the editor of Videogames Magazine. In 1999 he also released his first book entitled The 50 Greatest Movies Never Made. He followed this book up with two others The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide, 3rd Edition (2004), and The Complete DVD Book: Designing, Producing and Marketing Your Independent Film on DVD (2005).
He is often featured in movies and television shows as a film critic and expert, including his recurring role as co-host on Attack of the Show.
In 2005 he also wrote and produced My Big Fat Independent Movie.
