Coupling

Coupling was a British sitcom which ran from 2000 until 2004. The show very openly details the dating and sexual adventures of six friends in their thirties (three guys, three girls). The group is brought together both in friendship and with past dating relationships all of which comes out gradually when Susan and Steve turn their one night stand into a relationship. Susan brings along we best friend Sally, and her ex-boyfriend and womanizer Patrick. While Steve on the other hand brings along his porn buddy and his ex-girlfriend Jane who is convinced that she can win the heart of anyone, man or woman.

The series started out with very poor ratings but they began to gradually pick up until the show was earning decent rating in its third season. The show was ended after four seasons but not because of the BBC. They actually approached the writer and the cast about a fifth season but other commitments prevented them from returning to the show.

The show has now been syndicated all over the world and the U.S. even tried to make their own version in 2003 which was canceled after four episodes.
