Micah Sloat

Micah Sloat was born in 1981 in Connecticut. He earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Skidmore College in 2004. He spent many years as a musician playing rock and blues on the guitar. He was also part of the world champion Westminister Barbershop Chorus.

In 2005 he moved to Los Angeles where he attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood in order to study acting. He was attending classes and supported himself through computer programming when he saw an add asking for unknown actors.

The ad requested the actor to be able to improvise and be able to work at night without knowing what the next scene would entail. Micah auditioned for the role and became the lead actor in the movie Paranormal State. The movie was low budget and only slated to a limited release, but the almost overnight success caused it to have a wide release. The movie grossed over $100 million propelling Micah into instant stardom.

The only problem however was that the movie was so realistic that many people believed that Micah was actually dead and began searching for his obituary. Truth is Micah is alive and well and busying himself with auditioning for new roles.
