Emerald Rose

This is a post in our Musician of the Day series.

Emerald Rose is a Celtic rock band that was formed in 1996. The band consists of Brian Sullivan (Vocals, Lead guitar, mandola), Larry Morris (Vocals, PennyWhistle, Percussion, Uillean Pipes), Arthur Hinds (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Bodhran, Percussion), and Cylde Gilbert (Vocals, Electric Bass, Percussion).

The group members shared common interests in ancient religions, musical styles and even Celtic and Fantasy mythology. They used all of these interests in their music. The band started out as simply something to do around campfires with friends but in 1997 the band had their first live performance.

The band loved their sound on stage and the thrill of playing together that they released their first self-titled CD in 1998. They released five more independent albums entitled Bending Tradition (2000), Fire in the Head - Emerald Rose Live! (2002), Celtic Crescent (2003), Archives of Ages to Come (2005) and That Night in the Garden (2009).
